The Ga

The Ga is a special ceremony centered in a clearing, out in the forest, where Odin and Frigg are united and properly married, before ascending to Asgard.

How it works

• Each of the Nine Realms connected by Yggdrasil from Norse Mythology must be represented at the Ga, thus the Gods and Goddesses gathered in the circle must represent each realm in the World's Tree:
  • Asgard, Realm of the Gods, represented by both Odin & Frigg (by Axl & Hanna).
  • Álfheimr, Realm of the Light Elves, represented by Fulla (by Stacey).
  • Midgard (Earth), Realm of the Mortals, represented by Höðr (by Ty).
  • Muspelheim, Realm of the Fire Giants, represented by Loki (by Colin).
  • Niðavellir, Realm of the Dwarves, represented by Bragi (by Anders).
  • Niflheim, Realm of the Dishonored Dead, represented by Sjöfn (by Michele).
  • Jötunheimr, Realm of the Frost Giants, represented by Baldr (by Olaf).
  • Vanaheimr, Realm of the Vanir, represented by Snotra (by Ingrid).
  • Svartálfar, Realm of the Dark Elves, represented by Ullr (by Mike).

• Martin Larson is tied up, since Heimdallr is the gatekeeper between Asgard and Midgard.

• Hanna reluctantly carves into Martin's skin with a knife to begin, and then into her and Axl's hands, which they then join together.

• As a drop of their blood spills on an Asgardian stone, all the stones in the circle ignite, unleashing the Pure Light.

• The Pure Light causes the spirits of the Gods to ascend to Asgard, leaving behind their mortal vessels on Midgard - and forgotten by all who once knew them.

• Heimdallr has taken the Bifröst Bridge with him to watch over Asgard (as was his sworn duty), and Martin has been granted entrance into the afterlife.

• When the Gods return to Asgard, all of their powers are restored to them in full:
  • As a result, Odin kept his promise, and brought Michele back to life from death.
