In Norse mythology, Iðunn is the Goddess of Youth, Apples, Spring & Rejuvenation. She is also the wife of the god, Bragi.
Biography[]
Iðunn is the keeper of the magic apples of immortality, which the gods must eat to preserve their youth. That is why she is described as a constant goddess, because the gods cannot survive without her. Then one day, through the cunning of Loki the trickster, she and her apples were seized by the giant Thiassi and taken to the realm of the giants, and the gods quickly began to grow old. They then forced Loki to rescue Iðunn, which he did by taking the form of a falcon, changing Iðunn into a nut, and flying off with her in his claws.
