Baldr (also Balder, or Baldur, from Old Norse) is the God of Rebirth, Light and Beauty in Norse mythology, who is given a central role in the mythology. Despite this, his precise function is rather disputed.
He is the second son of Odin and Frigg.
His eldest brother is the thunder-god, Thor. His twin brother is the blind winter-god, Höðr.
